ABOUT
Sarah Baniak is an Associate Producer at ABC News and a Regional Emmy-Award-winning Producer that focuses on women’s stories, impactful youth voices, systems of oppression, sexual assault, politics, local community change, and shifts in cultural dynamics and expressions. Her work has been televised and published on ABC News Live, ABC Television Stations, Hulu, and ABC’s national network, Localish. She’s continuing to explore the world around her by listening, taking in, and informing others on events, people, or places that are being underrepresented. Her focus remains to keep telling stories of people who feel underrepresented, whether it’s a woman fighting for her education in Afghanistan or mothers who have lost their sons due to gun violence.
Her skills so far have taken her to producing music videos for Atlantic Records, becoming a Production and Field Intern at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee for Turner Broadcasting Systems Incorporated, a Marketing & Distribution Intern at Music Box Films, a Production Intern later hired as a Production Assistant at Walt Disney Television for Windy City LIVE! while producing, editing, and color grading content for ABC’s national network Localish. She has also produced and created video content for Hulu, ABC Television Stations, ABC7 Chicago, Localish, Windy City LIVE!, Atlantic Records, Google, Comcast, MTV Networks, Nylon, and Pitchfork.
Photographic features of her work have been published by Vogue Italia, ABC7 Chicago, Manny’s Deli, Masa Madre, Five Squared Foot Truck, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Band of Bohemia, Chef Jernard Wells, and Heartfelt Catering. Sarah focuses on product, food photography and portraiture.
